There are many opportunities for Winthrop residents to get involved with town government and work with other residents in order to address issues and concerns in the community. Becoming a member of a committee, board, or commission is a great way to do this. The first step is to complete an application and submit it to the Town Clerk and the Winthrop Town Council for review.

It is important to think about your background and what you can bring concerning experience and knowledge when applying for a seat on a Winthrop committee, board, or commission. In addition, what do you hope to get out of participating in town government and giving of your time and energy? You can download and save the application form by clicking on the image. If possible, scan your completed application and save it as a PDF file.

You will email it to the Winthrop Town Council and the Town Clerk, in addition to sending it via snail mail to the Town Clerk’s Office. All council members must support and encourage resident participation in town government.
